Cold Brew

A Guide to Brewing the Perfect Cup

An Introduction

Cold Brew Coffee Drinks have gained in popularity over the last couple of years. The Cold Brew Process allows every drop of flavor to be steeped out of the coffee beans over the long brewing time. It’s not bitter but does contain a higher caffeine content than regular coffee.

The concentate also lasts a good while and can be used to make a lot of your favorite coffee drinks.

As always, be sure to read the directions that come with your equipment carefully as the brewing steps may differ from brand to brand.

What you’ll Need

Step 1

Grind your Coffee Beans… medium or dark roast. Grind them right before brewing for best flavor.

Step 2

Add the grounds to the filter and add water. Some trial and error with the water temperature will help you decide which temperature gives you the best tasting brew.

Step 3

Steep the grounds for about 24 hours.

Step 4

Remove the filter and empty the used coffee grounds.

Your cold brew concentrate is now ready to use in your coffee drinks. It will be very strong but can be diluted with additional water, dairy or ice.
