This can be made up in bulk to feed a lot of people, for a get-together or party, or can be divided into smaller portions and frozen for future meals.Â
Ingredients
- 1 cup brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
- 2 Tbsp molasses
- 2 (16 oz) cans pinto beans
- 2 (16 oz) cans red kidney beans
- 2 (16 0z) cans black beans
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
In a greased 3 or 4-quart slow cooker, mix first 4 ingredients together.
Step 2
Rinse and drain beans; stir into coffee mixture.
Step 3
Cook, covered, on low setting about 4 to 5 hours.
NOTES:
For a “spicy” kick, you can substitute the Regular Pinto Beans with the “Pinto Beans with Jalapenos”.
For a full meal, you can add some ground beef, browned and drained. Top with grated cheese.
